The 2023 LOT® Summit Conference, takes place June 28th – July 2nd in Dallas, Ft. Worth, TX will be a time to celebrate our students’ achievements and prepare them for the upcoming program year. Students will participate in breakout sessions; STEAM workshops [incorporating the Arts] and engage in fun interactive activities and win prizes. National Leadership Summit:
As a culminating event for the Leaders of Tomorrow® program year, the NBMBAA’s National Headquarters hosts local chapters at a 4-day youth leadership development training program. Elements of the conference include breakout sessions, guest speakers, college tours and HBCU off-site excursions , business case competitions, a Blue Blazer ceremony, and other enriching social activities.
National Business Case Competition:
The Business Case Competition Program is a competitive 9-week business skills after-school program for high school students. Students learn how to study and address business challenges in team-driven learning environments. They will learn fundamental skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication in a 5-week intensive training series. In addition to these essential skills, students develop competencies that emphasize growth in core business areas such as finance, marketing, product development, and sales.
What is the benefit of a business case study conference experience?
The simulated experience of a case competition is more realistic than classroom discussions and develops students thinking and communication skills in a different way. In a case competition, they will be solving real issues that companies have faced or are facing. This experience enables our youth to apply the knowledge they’re learning in the classroom to an actual business challenge, as well as gain experience presenting the solution to high-level leadership.
As a highlight of the Leadership Summit, students from across the United States will deliver their business cases to a panel of judges and compete for up to $30K in scholarship funds.”
