Founded in 1980, the National Black MBA Association® Atlanta Chapter is one of the most active, influential, and award-winning chapters in the nation. With a thriving network of over 1,300 members including MBA students, alumni, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, and professionals across industries, we serve as a dynamic hub for connection, career advancement, and Black excellence across Greater Atlanta.

Membership is open to MBA students and graduates, individuals with other advanced degrees, and business professionals and entrepreneurs who meet select criteria.

Through strategic partnerships with corporations, civic organizations, and industry leaders, the Atlanta Chapter offers innovative programming that fuels career growth, leadership development, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and meaningful networking. These initiatives strengthen our members, our partners, and the broader community.

The Boston Chapter was chartered in 1998 by a group of 8 black professionals whose bold vision was to strengthen the professional, educational, and economic pipeline for Black professionals in business. Since its inception, the organization has remained committed to advancing leadership, equity, and economic mobility. As one of the longest-standing chapters in the country, the Boston Chapter has played a critical role in extending this national legacy at the local level. For decades, the chapter has served as a trusted hub for students, emerging professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs seeking mentorship, meaningful connections, and clear pathways to leadership within Boston’s dynamic business ecosystem. Through strategic partnerships with Fortune 1000 corporations across industries such as Financial Services, Information Technology, Healthcare, Marketing, Law, and Engineering—as well as with colleges and universities, community organizations, and government agencies—the Boston Chapter has consistently delivered impactful programs that elevate careers, expand leadership representation, and promote generational wealth-building. The resurgence of the Boston Chapter is focused on reestablishing its strong foundation of partnerships, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, and creating expanded opportunities for the diverse population of students and professionals we serve. As we lead this renewed effort, our strategic priorities include: Up-skilling programs (including Masterclass, AI, and Google certifications) Increased member engagement across Greater Boston and beyond Executive mentorship and leadership development Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) High School Mentoring Initiative Networking and social engagement experiences

Incorporated in 1999 as a 501c(3) organization, the Chapter serves 225+ members with undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees in various disciplines as well as entrepreneurs throughout the Central Florida area. On average, the Central Florida Chapter facilitates 25+ programs annually with members spanning throughout Central and North Florida including Colleges and Universities. 

The NBMBAA Charlotte Chapter was established in 1995 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Incorporated in 1995, which consists of over 400 African-American professionals with graduate degrees in a variety of disciplines, including marketing, finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, law, and management.

The National Black MBA Columbus Chapter is the premier organization for mid-career business professionals in Columbus Ohio region. Since 1993, the NBMBAA Chapter has developed programming that have helped match Corporate opportunities with job seekers, meet local professional experts in various professional fields, host membership networking events, facilitate professional development for early career up to executive leaders, introduce pathways to entrepreneurship success, and provide life-changing business and leadership programming for High School students! Since 1989, the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) Dallas–Fort Worth Chapter has been the premier hub for Black business professionals and entrepreneurs in North Texas. We're more than just an organization; we're a dynamic community committed to fostering educational, professional, and economic growth for our members, strategic partners, and the wider community.

Similar to powered aviation having its beginnings in Dayton with Orville and Wilbur Wright, the Dayton, Ohio chapter of the NBMBAA® has a long-standing history of helping to empower its members with successful life skills.

The NBMBAA® -Dayton Chapter was organized in 1984 by a group of professionals from the former Dayton, Ohio General Motors Corporation. Founding members include William “Bill” Brooks (Deceased), Barbara Stewart Bostick, Michael Penn, Alphonso Spence and Frank West.

The chapter was incorporated in 1989 and has a history of providing its members with professional development, entrepreneurial training, networking and career opportunities. In addition to services for its members, the chapter has awarded academic scholarships and supported many Dayton area community activities.

The Greater Michigan Chapter is dedicated to being the premier hub for harnessing educational and professional collective power for African Americans in Central and West Michigan.

Organized in 1983, the Houston Chapter currently has members at all levels of business management, from a wide array of disciplines, including Finance, IT, Marketing, Law, International Business, Healthcare, Education, and Engineering. Additionally, there is a growing number of entrepreneurs and small business owners who are joining our group. The Chapter maintains relationships with many of Houston’s community-based organizations and Fortune 1000 companies. We are committed to advancing our members by providing opportunities that derive mutual benefits.

The National Black MBA Association, Indianapolis Chapter remains committed to leading in the creation of educational, wealth building, and growth for Blacks throughout their careers as students, entrepreneurs and professionals.

The National Black MBA Association Kentucky Chapter, originally established as the Louisville Chapter, is an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The Chapter proudly brings the national vision and mission to life throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Mission The mission of the National Black MBA Association Kentucky Chapter is to lead in creating educational, wealth-building, and career advancement opportunities for Black leaders throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. This mission supports individuals on their journeys as students, entrepreneurs, and professionals. Vision To empower Black professionals intellectually and economically while working toward a world where diversity and inclusion are embraced as universal values.

The National Black MBA Association® (NBMBAA) fosters economic equity and career advancement for historically underrepresented professionals and aspiring leaders through transformative educational opportunities, robust professional networks, and actionable advocacy for wealth creation and inclusion.

The National Black MBA Association® was conceived in 1970 to help Blacks coming into the corporate sector, largely for the first time, share experiences and insights to help make the journey easier. By nurturing these new professionals, the organization helped early members navigate and, ultimately, succeed in unfamiliar and frequently challenging environments. It is those professionals who have risen up and reached back to bring up the next generation of Black professionals through providing coaching, guidance, and mentoring. This has carried through the decades as the members who have followed found the same sense of connection and camaraderie among their colleagues and have continued to reach back to uplift new generations.

NBMBAA has a deep and rich history of enriching the lives of Black youth and professionals that we continue to celebrate today!

NYBLACKMBA, The Metro New York Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, is one of the most dynamic chapters of the National Black MBA Association, dedicated to empowering Black professionals, entrepreneurs, and students through education, career development, and economic advancement.
