1. What data do we collect?

NBMBAA collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number, etc.)

  • Demographic data (sex, race, ethnicity, etc.)

  • Education and Work experience data  (degrees, universities, areas of study, employer, employment level, career history, resume, etc.)

  • Financial data (income level, payment information

 

2. How do we collect your data?

You directly provide NBMBAA with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register online or place an order for any of our products or services.

  • Voluntarily complete a survey or provide feedback via any of our website forms, boards or social channels.

  • Use or view our website via your browser's cookies.

NBMBAA may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

  • Purchased contact lists

  • Data provided by your employer

  • Data provided by your university

 

3. How will we use your data?

NBMBAA collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your order, manage your account.

  • Email you about our events and services

  • Connect you with opportunities via hiring employers and companies seeking talent

  • Email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might like.

NBMBAA may, on occasion, share your data with our corporate partners so that they may add you to their networks or contact you for employment. You will opt into these opportunities when registering for specific activations (Annual Conference, Virtual Career Fairs, etc.).

 

4. How do we store your data?

NBMBAA securely stores your data within a Microsoft Data Center located within the United States.

NBMBAA will keep your member records indefinitely unless specifically requested by the member.  If a member requests their membership cancelled and data deleted, we will delete your data by utilizing Microsoft Power BI App.

 

5. Marketing

Our Company would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like, as well as those of our cooperating organizations and corporate partners. These emails will still come via NBMBAA. If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date. You have the right at any time to stop NBMBAA from contacting you for marketing purposes. However, if you do opt out, you will need to opt back in to receive key messages regarding offerings.

You cannot opt-out of receiving communications from NBMBAA® (or third parties who may assist us) relating to a specific order or request for a product or service. We may also collect, store or accumulate certain non-personally identifiable information concerning your use of this Website, such as information regarding which of our pages are most popular. Information gathered may be used in aggregate form for internal business purposes, such as generating statistics and developing marketing plans. We may share or transfer such aggregate, non-personally identifiable information with or to our affiliates, licensees and partners.

NBMBAA would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights.

  • The right to rectification - You have the right to request that NBMBAA correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request NBMBAA to complete information you believe is incomplete.

  • The right to erasure - You have the right to request that NBMBAA erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

  • The right to restrict processing - You have the right to request that NBMBAA restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

  • The right to object to processing - You have the right to object to NBMBAA’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

  • The right to data portability - You have the right to request that NBMBAA transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
